A Special Rescue proudly presents...

Here at A Special Rescue, we work to create generative and therapeutic opportunities for adults, teens, children, and animals that intend to empower, heal, and nurture the family system.

We are a family-run non-profit organization that has a passion for helping our community. The vision began with a strong interest in caring for animals and individuals who live with special needs. Since then, we realized that we wanted to expand our outreach to all people and animals who are in search of therapy, peace, respite, and growth. We  immediately feel an overwhelming sense of peace the second we step onto this property. We know this space is meant to serve as a place animals and people can gather in nature to heal each other.

We are father, son, son-in-law, and daughter entrepreneurs who run a wealth management RIA, an accounting firm, and a natural playground manufacturing business in Cincinnati: Brass Tax Wealth Management, Schulte & Uhrig, CPAs, and The Next Adventurous Child. Through our work as financial and childhood development professionals, we are privileged to learn about the emotional and relational struggles of our clients. It fulfills us to find ways to help our community on a holistic level beyond dollars and cents. In order to gain competence and skills that would help drive this mission forward, Leah Schulte (daughter) returned to school to obtain a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Xavier University and offers individual, couples, and group therapy under Naya Clinics. On the farm, you can look forward to opportunities for farm, couples, individual, family, equine, and financial therapy as well as an excellent venue for special events, corporate and private retreats, and vacations.

All donations are tax deductible and all proceeds are used to put back into our mission.

Here at ASR, we provide a wide range of therapeutic interventions, education, natural resources, and employment to people, families, organizations, and animals requiring income, sense of purpose, respite, lodging/boarding, and personal growth, while simultaneously benefitting the environment through proper pasture management.
